If you were to stop in at the Province of Canada design studio today, chances are, you would spot a citizen in a hoodie and another in a French Terry crewneck. There's a reason for that. Something about the vibe of each sweater feels right on any day, at any time.
The goal of Province of Canada has always been to make quality pieces in Canada that Canadians actually want to wear. Earlier this year, we got talking about clothing that we wish we had in our closet that we would feel compelled to wear every day. This spurred the conversation about forming a marriage between our two favourite sweaters and designing a made in Canada French Terry hoodie.
Thus, our Weekend Hoodies was born. The concept and design are simple, and yet, it's something no one has thought to manufacture in Canada. We took our raglan French Terry crewneck design and added a hood, drawstrings, and pouch. It's the sweater you want to wear on the Weekend, and, ironically, it's the sweater you wish you could wear to the office during the week.
