Growing up, there was sort of a rah rah sensibility of what it means to be Canadian and as I got older it seemed to make less and less sense. Around 2000 I realized that maybe it's time to investigate what it is that makes Canadians, Canadian. It's all these strange things, that I then realized don't make sense to people outside of Canada.
