Back on Canada Day, we shared a message of solidarity for Indigenous People across Canada. It was a message shared by millions of Canadians, one of sadness and deep sorrow after the discovery of almost 2000 unmarked graves that were found (and continue to be discovered) at residential schools across Canada.⁣

For the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and for Orange Shirt Day (Sept. 30th), we wanted to do more than share a message. We wanted to create a symbol of the day, one that could act as a continued reminder of the ongoing path to reconciliation for the Indigenous People of Canada.

The Orange Hoodie is a one-off, unique piece that contains no logo marks. Each garment is handcrafted in Canada with heavyweight locally milled, 100% cotton fleece. The fabric is cut using our ‘Cross Grain’ technique making each item extremely durable. No logos, no branding, no child left behind. 100% of the proceeds from each hoodie will be donated to The Indian Residential School Survivors Society.

There’s a reason you feel reassured when you find a t-shirt that reads ‘made in Canada’ on the label. To many, local manufacturing is synonymous with quality and equality, which is why 'made in Canada’ is the main pillar of our company. Keeping everything made in Canada makes our design studio a second home and our manufacturers our neighbours, and that’s really the most Canadian thing we can think of.

We know it can be challenging to pick the correct size online, even when using a size chart. If you simply want to exchange for a different size, and your original order met our $75 shipping benchmark (before tax), we will cover the shipping. See our Return Page for excluded products and details. View our Exchange and Return Form to start an Exchange or Return.

Warm and fluffy

Fluffy is not usually a word to describe a hoodie. However it is truly fluffy with 20 oz fleece. In addition to the great cause of the orange hoodie, it is well structured and meticulously stitched, which can be inferred from a slightly wider cuff, double lined hood and a fit yet oversized silhouette (not even sure how it is accomplished). Hope the orange line can be expanded to other products as well!!

Soooo Comfortable!

I love my hoodie. It is so comfortable and you can tell it’s well made. I received lots of positive comments about the colour too. I appreciate how PoC donated 100% of the sale to IRSSS.
