By 2023, we will no longer use any plastic packaging. Instead of plastic, our product bags will be made with 100% Certified Compostable plant based film. This commitment to remove plastic from our entire online ordering experience will also serve as a challenge to other Canadian companies to do the same (more on this in the coming months).
Everyday we strive to reduce our environmental footprint.
As a small, made in Canada company, we've always relied on the fact that we produce locally and in micro batches to do our part as an eco-conscious brand. This reduces waste and helps eliminate international imports and exports, significantly reducing our carbon footprint and allows us to know exactly how our products are being produced. Since switching to compostable mailers, over 10,000 less plastic bags go out each year. One of our paper bags takes two months to break down. One plastic bag takes hundreds of years to break down.
Invest in products that last longer and feel better.
While it makes for narrower margins, we will continue to produce everything locally and pay more to provide a higher quality, more sustainable product. Our goal is always about creating goods that you’ll be able to enjoy for a long time.
“For us, "doing better" means investing in actual eco-friendly packaging materials. There’s a big difference between Biodegradable and Certified Compostable and consumers need to be educated about this, so they can make better choices.”

Be Great (Lakes)
As Canadians, we are holders of the world's longest coastline and the majority of the world's freshwater lakes. We have a responsibility to protect our shores, because unhealthy water isn't just an environmental issue, it's a human rights issue. When our environment dies, so do our communities.
Love your Mother.
Over the past two years, the world has shown that we can come together under one cause. April 22nd marks another movement that the entire planet needs to get behind – the health and well-being of Mother Earth. While we’re all in the midst of navigating our way out of this current crisis, it’s given us hope that together, we can take on anything.SHOP OUR EARTH COLLECTION
