The Orange Shirt

Back in 2021, for the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, along with Orange Shirt Day, we created the Orange Hoodie to act as an ongoing reminder of the path to reconciliation for the Indigenous People of Canada. This year, based on requests from our community, we wanted to expand on the concept behind The Orange Hoodie.⁣

On this year's National Indigenous Peoples Day, we’re launching the Adult and Kids Orange Monday Tee, and Orange Monday Long Sleeve. Like all of our Monday Tees, they are handcrafted in Canada with locally knit, 100% organic cotton jersey. The fabric is dyed, using an environmentally friendly process, in a beautiful shade of orange that we selected.

A limited collection that not only shows support for the Indigenous People of Canada but also helps protect the environment — support and sustainability.

No logos, no branding, no child left behind.

Every year on Canada Day, we share the same, important message, “Don’t buy a T-shirt for Canada Day”. The same principals behind that message apply to showing support for Indigenous People across Canada. That message being to encourage our community to invest in quality, even when supporting a cause. Our goal is to offer a made in Canada alternative that makes it into your weekly rotation and last for years.

15% from each order will be donated to The Indian Residential School Survivors Society

We hope that the future owners of each orange T-shirt, wears the garment weekly with pride and is vocal about its purpose — a continued reminder that there’s still a lot of work ahead to achieve reconciliation for the Indigenous People of Canada.
